About EG Petrol

GEPoil & Petroleum Limited is a subsidiary of EGPetrol ( now known as GEPetrol ) which is the national oil company of Equatorial Guinea. GEPoil & Petroleum Limited in collaboration with GEPetrol has been a key factor in the development of the country oil reserves and the economic and social promotion of the population as a whole, conceived for a global world, and in line with sustainable development principles.

The company has quickly moved to perform its new duties as it manages the state’s participation as a shareholder and other rights and obligations derived from the CPP (PSCs) signed before its creation. GEPoil & Petroleum Limited acts as agents for the sales of the State’s share of hydrocarbons while GEPetrol is responsible for the promotion of open acreage within Equatorial Guinea.

GEPoil & Petroleum Limited is responsible for undertaking training programmes to develop the skills of staff and to provide access to the most advanced technologies, techniques and knowledge of the oil industry. GEPoil & Petroleum Limited is responsible for environmental policy and implementation as may be directed or advised by GEPetrol.

GEPoil & Petroleum Limited may participate, either solely or in Collaboration with GEPetrol or as a partner with other national or foreign companies, in exploration and production activities either within Equatorial Guinea or abroad. GEPetrol interacts with the Ministry of Mines, Industry and Energy on a regular basis in order to coordinate the affairs of the industry in Equatorial Guinea, but is a separate and autonomous body. The Ministry of Mines, Industry and Energy continues as the overall regulatory and administrative body for the petroleum industry in Equatorial Guinea while GEPoil & Petroleum Limited Carry out the national Equatorial Guinea Hydrocarbons policy, contributing to a smooth development of the sector as may be directed or advised by GEPetrol.

GEPoil & Petroleum Limited Oversee the fulfillment of public and private goals determined in relation to hydrocarbons exploitation in the continental, insular and maritime basins in Equatorial Guinea.

Contribute, through oil development, to the primary goal of eradicating poverty, and promoting health and education for the People of Equatorial Guinea.

GEPoil & Petroleum Limited has been operating as the oil servicing arms of this great corporation since its creation while it has always been the brain behind some major tactical operations in recent times.
